PHILODENDRON GOLD FINGER

agriculturalThe shape of the leaf is like the fingers of the hand. The color is bright yellow with a protruding leaf bone. That's why he was nicknamed the Philodendrom Gold Finger, the golden finger. The number of fingers is 4-6 pairs, with the pointed end. The surface is slippery with a slightly protruding leaf bone. The length of the golden finger leaves is foam up to 40 cm.with a width of 20-25 cm. The leaves appear from the tip of the stem, covered with white shades. The young leaves are slightly white, heart shaped and not yet spotted. The leaf stalks are yellow too, cylindrical. With a length of up to 40 cm. These stems are arranged cross-sectionally and originate on the stem sections. There is the base of the lower leaf stalk usually interspersed with the emergence of roots that are yellow and white. These roots will immediately redeem the planting medium and are useful for strengthening the stem.
If the body is quite porous and not too wet, the new roots will not appear on the segment above it.The stem is round and segmented. The distance between the segments is 5-10 cm. It depends on the fertility of the plant and the intensity of the sun's rays. These stems are sturdy, so they can support the leaves and can stand upright.
The color of the stem is yellowish green.
Media planting  that is commonly used is a mixture of fern, manure, and mos. The comparison is 1: 1: 1. The chemical fertilizer needs to be added. He used to use fertilizer that is not soluble, slow release, such as Giovita, Magamp, or Dekaform.
This planting medium does not use land because it must be porous and water passes easily. "Philo did not want wet media.

In addition, solid media will inhibit the development of roots, so that the roots will only grow from the stem that is close to the surface of the media and cannot penetrate deeper.
In addition to inhibiting growth, solid media also makes the appearance of Philo to be bad and easily collapse.
This Philo requires sunlight, but may not be direct for a long time, just 1-2 hours between 08.00-10.00. If it's too long, the leaves can burn. The golden finger grows quickly. The direction of its growth follows the light source (sun). Therefore, the pot must be rotated frequently so that its growth is balanced and not just one direction.
Unlike the Philodendron plant, it is generally not made into indoor plants. Because the leaves are thin and yellow so they don't store much food and are less efficient in using solar energy.
